Maui 2003 Pg 9 - Kihei Stuff

On the Kihei side we get to see sunsets rather than sunrises:

With dinner for our first night in Kihei the dessert specialty was a custom-made
layer cake featuring the object of our attention while in this area, whales.
Kohola is Hawaiian for whale. Each layer featured a different fruit-flavored filling.
I don't think any of it went to waste.

Eating again! For decades Hawaiians have
had a special affection for Spam.
Remembering "when in Rome
do as the Romans do" we also
opened a few cans of the
magical mystery meat.
Lynne and Carol, of course,
were doing the honors.
