We were hale, we were hardy, and only one of our band dropped during the endeavor. The Sierra Club, a grassroots environmental organization with about 700,000 worldwide members, sponsors hundreds of trips every year to many parts of the world. Most are just enjoyable vacations perhaps hiking, biking, or kayaking, but some, like ours, are called "service trips." Service trips range from contributing to research projects at whale calving grounds to archeological site restoration in New Mexico. Most commonly service trip

This website will try to portray through photographs some of our adventures during 10 days together. Note that because these pages contain so many photos they will take much longer than usual to load on your computer, regardless of your connection speed. Hang in there for a bit and, hopefully, the results will please you. The "Next Page" buttons will lead you through each and every page but if you return to the site at a later time you can use the links farther down on this page to get you directly to your area of interest avoiding having to wade through pages you have already seen. I hope you enjoy reliving the fun we had on the trip. |
